VOX function (voice-operated transmission) starts transmitting automatically when it detects sound, so you don't have to press the PPT (push-to-talk) button every time you start transmitting. When you stop speaking, this function stops transmitting and automatically switches to receiving mode.

BCL function (busy channel lock) allows locking the signal on a busy channel, preventing other groups from interfering on the same frequency band while communication is ongoing. They will only be able to transmit if the channel is free.

TOT function (time out timer) allows you to set a time after which the transmission will automatically stop. This prevents prolonged use of the channel by one user, e.g., due to accidentally blocking the PTT button.
