Maintenance-Free Lead-Acid Batteries

EMOS maintenance-free lead-acid batteries are designed as replacement batteries for UPS backup power supplies, RBC kits, electronic security systems (ESS), electric fire alarm systems (EPS), backup systems for lifts, etc.

Batteries of this type are not intended for energy storage, e.g., in solar systems, and cannot be used as starting batteries for cars, motorcycles, and electric scooters.

Safety and Cutting-Edge Technology

EMOS maintenance-free lead-acid batteries, controlled by valves, in the form of AGM can be installed in any position.

AGM batteries contain an electrolyte soaked in glass-fiber mats, which are part of the separators between individual lead plates. This is essentially glass fabric into which the electrolyte is absorbed when poured. Acid spillage is no longer hazardous, making the batteries very safe to use.

Protective valves of the battery prevent explosion in case of gas release. The entire battery cover complies with the relevant standard, and the battery meets general safety requirements for products.

Charging and Operation of Batteries

The battery must be charged before first use. If the battery is inserted into a device that cannot detect its charge status, the battery may become completely discharged, resulting in irreversible damage - destruction of the battery.

Charging the battery should be done with a suitable power supply or charger that supports AGM technology and has a charging voltage of 14.4 V for 12 V batteries and 7.2 V for 6 V batteries. If the charger or power supply does not have these parameters, incomplete charging, rapid energy consumption, and in extreme cases, battery destruction may occur.

The optimal lifespan of security systems is 5 years.

Connection with FASTON Connectors

Most EMOS maintenance-free lead-acid batteries are equipped with FASTON connectors. FASTON terminals are commonly used in electronic and electrical equipment as well as in the automotive industry. FASTON connectors allow for quick connection of the cable and connector to the battery.
