Airsoft Spring Rifle Carbine M1

Due to the German blitzkrieg tactics (where assault units penetrate from the side and hit the rear), the rear and logistical units of the Allied forces in World War II needed effective defensive weapons that would be small, lightweight, yet still effective as a standard rifle. The basic requirements were that the weapon must not exceed a weight of 2.5 kg and be capable of (semi)automatic fire. Although the rifle was intended only for rear units (e.g., cooks, drivers, military policemen,...), it was also used by paratroopers (version M1A1), officers (who needed lightweight weapons, in addition to a pistol), radio operators (due to the heavy radio station they could have weapons),... Due to its small size, it was also commonly used by guerrillas and partisans.
