The blades are made from Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel and are equipped with the latest heat treatment, including double hardening, ensuring unparalleled strength and toughness.
The grip of these blades is a model of efficiency and economy. The handle, guard, and sub-handle are injection molded in one piece from Kray-Ex ™. This reduces costs while providing durability, safety, and control for which the handle is known. As an added bonus, the handles become impervious to moisture or weather.

Honoring the name Merrill's Marauders - also known by the code name Galahad, an acclaimed American unit for attacks in the Southeast Asian theater of conflict - the Marauder® Bowie from Cold Steel® is robust, ruthless, and reliable.
It features a very wide, razor-sharp blade with a continuously curved edge, deep wide bevels, and a powerful tip. During rigorous and grueling performance testing of this Bowie, the president of Cold Steel® simply uttered one word: BEAST.

The Marauder®, suitable for numerous military scenarios, survival, and hunting, comes with a versatile Secure-Ex® sheath, allowing for comfortable and secure attachment of the knife to a belt or gear or backpack.

Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly heat-treated Japanese AUS 8A steel for nearly three decades. This steel has proven itself remarkably well over the years and has been shown to be excellent working knife steel - solid, corrosion-resistant, with good edge retention and easy to sharpen.
