Knife OPINEL N°12 Carbone Steel

- Material: Carbon steel XC90
- Blade length: 12 cm
- Handle: Wood (beech)
- Safety: safety ring
BLADE:
Carbon steel is extremely hard, ensuring excellent cutting quality, good wear resistance, and easy resharpening. Carbon can also corrode. We advise avoiding damp places and wiping and lubricating the blade after use.
HANDLE:
Beech is the most commonly used wood for making Opinel handles. Beech is hard, durable, and easy to process. Due to its homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of many small dark streaks.
SAFETY:
The Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, is installed on all folding knives from No. 06 onward. Virobloc, cut from stainless steel, has two parts, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
