Compass SILVA Expedition

The SILVA Expedition series is designed for experienced users and professionals. The Expedition series has been a world leader in accuracy, precision, and durability for many years. The SILVA Expedition series features two brand new functions: a Slope card and a scale rope.

If you need a traditional base plate compass with premium features, the Expedition should be your choice. The SILVA Expedition features a Dryflex ™ housing that is easy to use, silicone rubber feet for precise map work, removable release rope, night light markers, a magnifying lens, clinometer for measuring the angle of inclination, measurement scales in mm or inches, 1:25,000, 1:50,000 and GPS scales, and built-in magnetic declination adjusters (including a permanent local adjustment). The Expedition can also measure 1:40,000.

Detect avalanche danger
The slope card is excellent for detecting avalanche danger as well as determining how challenging your journey will be. By knowing the slope, you can also assess any extra distance you need to walk due to the incline. The scale rope has two scales; 1:25 and 1:50, allowing you to measure the distance of your hike. As it is soft and flexible, it can be easily placed directly on your path on the map. The new graphics feature a more pronounced arrow (Expedition) and a more modern font.

If the terrain requires a mirror compass, your optimal companion is the Expedition S.
